Personal use of LANL Computers

Since the topic of personal use of lab computer equipment has recently come up, I was wondering if reading the blog classified as "personal use of laboratory computing resources"?

  1. STOP THAT! STOP READING THAT BLOG!

It's just a small, but highly vocal group of malcontents who read that blog.

Oh, wait. That was the *other* blog.

Regardless, STOP READING THAT BLOG THIS VERY MINUTE!

  2. As long as this blog continues to be a one-stop shop for legitimate LANL news - e.g. coverage of budgetary, environmental, security, and other such items that are NOT covered in the internal LANL press, then I can make a solid argument that reading this blog is not just allowed, it should be mandatory.

Posting comments, on the other hand, should be done from home.

  3. Nooooooooooooooooooooo!

You don't understand! We don't *want* you to have one-stop shopping for LANL news. LANS, LLC will pass on anything important that you need to know. Trust us.

Pits are good. Blog is bad. Pits are good, blog is bad.

The DC madam mentions a lab connection
"INSIDE EDITION went through Palfrey's records and found phone numbers of an Air Force Colonel, officials with the Department of Defense, the FCC, Los Alamos National laboratory, and the number of a high profile Republican lobbyist."

  5. That reminds me of a comment from an earlier post. "Historically it's been possible to order stuff from JIT vendors over the phone. No Cryptocard required." Maybe the DC Madam is a JIT vendor.

  10. Can't the site meter report the IP addresses rather than just lanl.gov?
