Los Alamos National Laboratory: You know The Real Story. You know The Corporate Story. Now you'll know The Rest of the Story.
What do you expect? After all LANS has repeatedly stated it has no plans.
I think Mikey needs to go to jail. At a minimum be censured for ethical violations. And just being a grade A prick.
I'm just curious - do you think it has ever dawned on Anastasio as to how much he is hated and not respected due to his less than ethical behavior? I think he is blinded by the money, and does not see how disrespected he is.I did hear some "baby cry" about he had not control - he was told to do this. That is pure pansy ass bullshit. He voluntarily accepted this role, and is being well comensated for it.Another serious knock to his character ----- .....wait he has no discernable character except for being a money grubbing piece of shit.I'd like to tell him I'd see him in hell, but I won't be going there.

11/27/07 9:23 PMIt would be a good start. It would be great is we could continue on to Washington and remove the criminal element from the government. This is not what the framers intended.
"we could continue on to Washington and remove the criminal element from the government"And who would be left? Ron Paul?
Mikey's demeanor has from the beginning been that of a stand-offish manager who really doesn't trust his employees and doesn't really know how to even approach getting them to trust him. Charisma is not his game. I don't know if he ever got lessons or advice from Sig or John, but he should have sought them out. If he didn't he is a fool. He is just disconnected from LANL, being a LLNL transplant, and doesn't want to get "connected" lest he lose his "roots".
WARNING: FSA (Flexible Spending Account) perhaps a top level post on real concerns for RIFees. As explained by UC in 2006 the FSA behaves like an insurance policy. If you chose a $5000 limit that translates to a $192.31/paycheck 'premium'. The 'policy' is canceled upon your termination i.e. Jan 10,2008. If you had no medical expenses Jan.1 through Jan. 10 you lose the 'premium' you will pay on Jan. 4, 2008. On the other hand if the stress sends you to the hospital on Jan. 9 with $5000 out-of-pocket expense then you will be reimbursed the full $5000.Note you have until Nov.30, 2007 to select the FSA option in open enrollment.Perhaps somebody from LANL benefits can verify this since they are monitoring this blog.
I think that it would be nice to have an upward appraisal of Mikey and his minions. Or, maybe a referendum.
"And who would be left? Ron Paul?"Pretty much!
