D’Agostino to Speak on Future of the Nuclear Weapons Complex
WASHINGTON, D.C. – National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Administrator Thomas D’Agostino will announce his vision for the future of the nuclear weapons complex. The plan announced on Tuesday will be released as a draft Supplemental Programmatic Environmental Impact Statement (SPEIS) in January.
The SPEIS contains different scenarios for transforming the nuclear weapons complex. The preferred alternative would consolidate missions and facilities within the existing NNSA sites. This means that NNSA would eliminate redundancies in missions, capabilities, and facilities, eventually saving money in the future.

Now this may send us all a mesage, as to our future at LANL. Maybe the NNSA wants to gives us a "heads up" maybe???
Top D'Ag has a vision!
But why is his "vision" being released in the form of a SPEIS?
The announcement ("GIRD YOUR LOINS!!!!") will be on LabNet, I hear, at 11AM our time.
Yeah, Top D'Ag has a vision. In fact, you'll see it all over at the NNSA web site. Photos of Top D'Ag with large banners behind him with his favorite slogan, "Getting the Job Done!".
And what job would that be? Cutting worker wages and benefits, destroying pensions, laying off scientists, and lowering the morale of NNSA contractor staff.
Yeah, Top D'Ag is certainly "Getting the Job Done!". He'll eventually get a well paying VP slot at Bechtel or BWXT as his sweet reward for all his efforts, no doubt.
So, Top D'Ag is having visions, is he?
I have visions too, generally correlated to my having consumed too much Chile Adovado.
